That's the thing - I agree with you in principle Germany shouldn't have a penalty today, but you have to judge it in the context of other situations where a penalty is given. The Denmark incident is obviously relevant in that regard, as it happened in the same tournament. Overcomplicated rules and lack of consistency is the problem here.Should never be a pen. His hand was straight down and pretty much tucked in, and it was smashed at him from 3 yards. And before someone says, but Denmark? That was a disgrace and should never be a penalty either.
