She pretty much always agrees with VAR no matter how bonkers the decision is. I get rules are rules but sometimes just use a bit of common sense. And the rules themselves sometimes are ridiculous. Keane and Ange were right, if that wasn’t given as a penalty no one would complain.

100%, but the ref isn't there to say the rule is wrong, he's there to implement the rules in their current form no matter how stupid they are.

The issue I have with the penalty is that Oliver deemed it no penalty. VAR was brought in to correct mistakes, incidents that are clear and obvious. I don’t see how Germany’s penalty falls into that category. Contentious and debatable at best. As Ange said, seems like they are sometimes trying to re-referee matches. Same with the Georgia penalty against Portugal.
