what a blindingly great kitty mate, and top photos too, that first one!!!! Your son must be delighted with her. I might choose to start watching us like that too!!!

His name was Røys - he was initially found abandoned in a stone heap, "steinrøys" in Norwegian, hence the name. Glad to spread some laughter!
Just to add a bit of context to the story; he was - we think - almost/partially run over by a car once, and came home covered in dirt/oil and nearly unable to make a sound. We washed him up and thankfully he was otherwise unharmed.
But he could only meaow in a whisper after the incident, until a couple of months later when he regained his powerful voice...only now he sounded more like a goat than a cat.
It was extremely odd at first, but became another addition to his character.
And that was the sound that awoke our neighbours.
