The Diamond Jubilee Thread

This may seem 'unpatriotic' etc but am I really the only one who doesnt give a brick?

Im sure someone on here will put it on par with treason but im on bothered about this Jubilee in the slightest

As for the Jubilee... Not fussed but im off Sunday and Monday, going Thorpe Park Monday so Sunday I'll accept the excuse for a few bevvies but not too many what with the 2hr drive across west side of london at 8am the next day. Its nice to see all the bunting and all the kids at school today having little jubilee days and all that kind of stuff. But generally im not interested in the event itself in all honesty

I really could not give a brick! i hate the royal family! so they can go sink for all i care. Bunch of spongers!
 
if i could have a four day weekend every year, just so the queen can throw herself a party to celebrate her being the queen, then fudge it, i'll take em. Long live ze german!

I might actually watch as well and laugh at the telly when they interview departed WI types waving their flags. Come on rain gods!!!!! Do your thing. There's a republican rally in London today, almost gutted I'm away. But then I looked out of the window.

The extra money into the country for the Jubilee weekend will far outweigh the money lost for their being 2 bank holidays
 
Am going up to the Thames pageant tomorrow and have a street party on Monday.

Going forward I would like to see England cede from each of the British and European Superstates, I won't be waving the union tartan, but will be celebrating our history with my community.

Mate. Not getting into it but it doesn't come close. Think about every business apart from retail and leisure closed for 2 days. It costs the country billions more.
