if it was possible id like us to bring in Negredo. English type centre forward, imo he will fit in quickly and score the goals to help us finish in the top 4.

In the summer we can then re-asses the striking situation, maybe Ade or Defoe will leave and then we can try and persuade Damiao to join

Damiao, Negredo, Defoe and Dempsey as an emergency cf.....yep, i could handle that for a tilt at the CL and Premier League

If it wasn't for the deadline day circus we'd never have signed several of our current players. It adds that extra bit of pressure that can make clubs agree to sell players. Most clubs don't want to sell their best players and we don't have the resources to just pay what they ask straight up.

By the same logic I'd argue we've missed on countless more which we didn't wrap-up early enough - why is such a view seemingly impossible to suggest around here?

So what are you complaining about?

The counter argument, of course, is that many of those players wouldn't have become affordable until deadline day. Quite often, there is no realistic deal to be done until that last day. Kind of like an ebay auction. Not much by way of activity for 5 days (or whatever) and then a frenzy of action in the final couple of minutes.
 
Forget your, Cavanis Damiaos, Negredos , I can't see it happening. I'd have liked Seydou Doumbia but he's in Russia and its all difficult with them so I'd like to see us have a £10 million punt on someone like, Wilfried Bony of Vitesse .
