Which player would you like to see take over from Luka Modric?

Tim Vickery just on talksport saying that Damaio would be a brilliant signing for us (he wasn't 'ready' last year but is now).

He did insinuate that his Agent is absolutely desperate for him to move (anywhere) to make some money for himself.

Mentioned that Inter having bought Forlan will mean it's probable he will be sold.

He reckons it will cost around £18m to get him. Not as much as Oscar.

But tie up the Adebayor deal, bring in Damiao (which is a deal they've been working on for 24 months!) and a winger like Sturridge who can also play up front and business is pretty much done. The crux of the team remains very much intact and a Goalkeeper isn't a necessity. Defoe will go in a heartbeat - there's a quality striker there and other managers know it but he'll never be more than our nearly man. Then it's all about Modric.

Sturridge is not a natural winger - nor has he ever played as such to my knowlege. He has been deployed primarily as a wide forward in order to accommodate the senior strikers in the team

Ultimately it has been decided that he will remain in the reserves if necessary.

because of newsnow journalism etc. if its from journalists at least they are paid to write brick. Thes fudging idiots that think they know someone and make brick up are absolute tacos of the highest order that just want attention.
