Ok I was actually about to do a whole new shiny thread on this but decided I can put it in here (yeah at the fudgein risk of you fudgers making jokes)

I want to change my name - in all seriousness im so used to using my shortened surname that my original surname has now become defunct except for the most important two documents - passport and drivers license).

Anyone changed their name before by deed poll? which service did you use? how much did it cost? I have googled and there arent many reputable sources who do this. I didnt even realise there is no government type service - these are all 'organisations' who entered in this so called area.

Help would be appreciated.
