Spurs vs QPR

Yes wtf :)

Some nice play. Initial thoughts: Bergavaile (and Grey) the most promising. Eager players. And skillfull. Johnson a bit rusty. Werner...can't see him being more than a sub and cups player? Maybe he can discover better form, idk.

What is impressive with Bergvall is his (cliche alert)...football intelligence. He plays passes into space, which dictates how the player receiving the ball plays. He has potential to pull the strings. And is very comfortable on the ball.

I hope Spurs coaching team will work on getting players primed to shoot. Sarr and Bergvall either not set or a beat too slow to get a shot away. We need to train the side to be primed to shoot and try to shoot early and accurately.

When through on goal Werner pauses, and also needs to be primed to shoot quicker. Low on confidence still.
It's not a confidence thing, he's just not and never had been a natural finisher. It's very unique at this stage of his career that he can ever train that thinking he does when he has a chance.

Not confidence as said below
It’s not his forte
Luckily he has other strengths
You wouldn’t want him leading the line

A player who is scoring regularly, receives that ball - and without thinking which is what slows him down - takes a couple of quick steps forward and bangs the ball into the corner of the net. Werner can do that.

And he wasn't the only one who didn't look ready to finish smartly. But that is what pre-season is for. Will our coaches pick up and work on getting the side primed to be ready to shoot quicker. Idk.
