Spurs v Stoke - Official match thread

Chiriches? Hmmm the end to this season is proving looooooooooong and painful. We need these wage thieves and jokers out the club asap. At least we get to see Mason and Bentaleb doing their thing again (whatever that might be).
 
It is hard to get motivated for this match. With 1 win in 5 matches, all the players seems to be already in holiday mood. Not sure if they will be up for this match. Stoke beat us at home earlier in the season. That should make the players aiming for revenge. But with both teams having nothing to play for, not sure any players will even bother about this match. This could turn out to be a boring boring match.

Wish our key players like Kane and Eriksen are in good goal scoring form. Instead, Kane has been out of form since playing for England. And Eriksen has been off form since the League Cup semi final. Now we badly lack match winning goals from those 2. Not sure what happened to Kane since playing for England. He doesn't look as clinical in front of goal as before. Maybe he is still trying to handle the pressure of playing for England. Was hoping he could score atleast 35 goals this season. But with him at 30 goals now, not very sure if he can score at all in the remaining matches. With Chadli our only other regular goal scorer this season, not sure if any one of those can score in this match.

Pochettino's inability to strengthen our midfield have really spoiled our season. Still don't understand what he sees in the partnership of Mason-Bentaleb in midfield. We have been outplayed in midfield by almost all the teams this season. Not sure why we bought Stambouli if we don't want to play him. It is disappointing we never gave too many chances to Dembele-Stambouli partnership. Even more disappointing that our most expensive signing Lamela didn't start or impress much this season. Wish Lamela will atleast score a goal or two in the remaining matches.

Our defence have gone bad under Pochettino this season. It seems like that Pochettino doesn't know how to make the team defend better. There have been far too many silly errors in defence this season. And Stoke are the kind pf physical team that can force us to make such errors. Just hope Lloris and Vertonghen can lead our defence to do well in this match. It will be really disappointing if we can't stop Stoke scoring in this match.

Not feeling too confident about this match. But hope we will somehow get a lucky goal or two and win this match.
 
I wonder who Swansea have left to play? I guess they'll lose to Arsenal on Monday, but beyond that is there a chance they'll sneak ahead of us in the league?
 
We're not really going to play that Romanian clown in the centre are we? At least shunt him out wide where he is slightly less of a liability.
 
Fazio sloppy there. Needs to to keep concentration and hopefully not becone the next Dawson in that respect, thinking he's a ball playing defender.
