Spurs in the Carabao Cup 2020/21

4 away games in 8 days, if we win in Bulgaria.

Insane schedule.

Mourinho will send the reserves for this one.

Sept 17: Loko Plovdiv (A, UEL)
Sept 20: Southampton (A)
Sept 22: Leyton Orient or Plymouth (A, EFL)
Sept 24: Botosani or Shkendija (A, UEL)

Insane. You really hope he is going to use the squad wisely.

A silly comment really. Tell the fans of less fashionable clubs who have won it and had a great day out at Wembley and a route to play in Europe that it's ridiculous and unnecessary, think you find nearly all would disagree with you.
No, it's not a silly comment. It's a silly cup.
Yes, of course it's fun winning it, but it's stupid and unnecessary in the sense that no other (relevant) country have 2 national Cup competitions. That's the point, not the nostalgia and former glorys.

Orient beating Plymouth was a great result for us; Orient is about as close an away game as we could have whereas Plymouth is about as far as we could have travelled. There will be some crossover between the XI's that play Orient, hopefully away in Europa League on the thursday and then Saudi Sportswashing Machine on the sunday. The coaching staff at least will be travelling to all 3 potential games.

Imagine we're playing Plymouth - even with a flight from Exeter to Stansted its a post midnight return to then fly out to Macedonia or Romania on the Wednesday. By playing in East London the whole squad can presumably stay at the Lodge Hotel at training ground and/or go hone and return.

However, its potentially the following week (should we still be in Carabao and Europa). Two more away draws will be a killer ahead of away game at Old Trafford on the Sunday.
