Chris Waddle
By the way, people are gushing about the Mason interview, saying it is the best ever ever ever and he is so wonderful and erudite and inspirational and OMG hopefully he will stay at Spurs forever etc.
I guess a lot of this is because of sentiment, he was at Spurs since a boy, didn't particularly want* to leave, got injured and was clinically dead for a while.
Because I don't think it is due to his actual comments, insight, delivery etc? I was quite disappointed, from the hype I expected a lot more from the interview, I found the Spurs Show podcasts with Mullery and various others much more interesting.
*He did phone his agent 2 days before the window shut and said it doesn't feel right and he wanted to leave, "find me a club", as he wanted to play #10 rather than #8 so... he went to Hull... played a couple of games at 10 and then was shunted to defensive midfield
Well I’ve never heard a player talk about dying and having an out of body experience
