Finney Is Back

Perhaps because it would be pretty embarrassing if you were part of a defence that Soldado did actually manage to score against?....Does soldado make our openents worried then? And if so why?

So who do you think would be a better option Roy?
And are the big boys sniffing around him then?Charlie Austin.
Fair enough. I would actually like to see us bring in BOTH Austin and Berahino as I think they have different attributes. I see Austin as a player who could play as a number 9 instead of Kane, whereas Berahino could play alongside Kane as a 9, 10 or even as wide forward.Charlie Austin.

The fact that we could probably get Austin and Berahino for a combined amount similar to what Liverpool paid for Benteke makes it even better business IMO.
Why would Austin (a player who plays in the same position as Kane) fit in alongside Kane better than someone who already has a good bit of experience in successfully playing alongside Kane and is used to playing either side of a player like Kane?Charlie Austins attitude is better IMO. I don't rate SB but think Austin could easily fit in alongside Kane.

Even if we do, would they be such a brilliant pairing anyway? I doubt it, they are to similar. Are we changing formations then? I wouldnt think we would all of a sudden start playing with 2 strikers.

Soldado could do with a mention occasionally, especially in his own thread
Soldado already gets discussed in the Townsend thread, since he is now going to be our new winger, haha. When that fails watch out for his name getting mentioned in the Lloris thread, for when we will try him in goal the season after...Soldado could do with a mention occasionally, especially in his own thread
Why would we change formations to play with wingers just to include Soldado?Soldado already gets discussed in the Townsend thread, since he is now going to be our new winger, haha. Berahino often plays as an inside forward and could play instead of Lamela or Chadli whilst being capable of playing backup to Kane.We wouldn't. Kane up top with Austin on the bench as back up. SB is a striker too so no difference between him and Austin I happen to think Austin is better.
There is a difference though. Berahino can also play on the wings, so will get a lot more game-time than Austin would. And the wings aren't exactly our strongest position either. In fact, if we were to buy a striker like Austin, then we still need to buy a winger as well imo. Berahino however can solve both those problem areas. We wouldn't. That are the positions he plays in... he made quite a few appearances on the wings, it's certainly an option.SB up front? Not for me. SB on the wing? Are you kidding me????
