I'd actively look to sell him while we might be able to get some decent money for him. I'd keep Richy for his final season with the thought that one more season of Lankshear on loan allows him to either step in and up or also be sold next summer. We need to spent BIG on a proper CF. Gonzales is one name I know we agree on. I have seen whispers of Watkins, and whilst I don't adore him, he is significantly closer to what we need IMO. Again, if we could throw money and get Oshimon for a couple of seasons, I'd love that and I think we agree on this too.
This is my thinking as well
- Sell Solanke (just don't see him suddenly coming good again, you set your own ceiling most times in your first couple of seasons at a club), he gets you more money as well
- Richi can play left, he's shown he can be a pro on the bench, and he's an utter pain in the ass for the opposition at times, and when he goes on a hot streak, just ride it.
- I'd like to see Lankshear, Moore, Vuskovic have first half of season, get cup games, get chance to earn a spot, if not, loans in January.
We have sensible, early targets, what we haven't seen yet is the statement/intention targets, RDZ needs 2 in my opinion, but at minimum, we need a an attacking player that walks into our first 11 and makes the team better.
Lots of people think, spend smart not just big, but make no mistake, spending big also sends a message to your players and to the rest of the league, we are serious .. I haven't seen that yet.
