Same as all the others they buy just like it!
Something about Mahrez strikes me as very Levy. Probably available for a not unreasonable price, and we've not been linked all summer. It's like a Charlie Adam, Jermaine Jenas type of 'this player is proven in the PL, we can probably get him for a good price, should we try?' kind of thing.
The difference is, he's also proven himself to be a good team player, and is showing a great deal of respect to Leceister. Poch would probably be a fan. Also read earlier in the summer he was willing to take a wage cut to join Roma.
I can totally see this being a wait until the last day to make our move while all our rivals have spent their money. Can also see Arsenal making a move particularly if they lose Sanchez too.
Yeah definitely - we have shelled out potentially £42M for Sanchez after one season in Holland, I think we'd pay £50M for a proven PL title winner who is 26. This summer's 50 is last summer's 30 for Sissoko.
50 mill, he is on over 100k at Leicester so will want the same if not more wherever he moves. Can't see it happening
No chance of him coming to Spurs. He is already on over £100k a week at Leicester. That would make the package too big with his £35 million plus transfer fee.Something about Mahrez strikes me as very Levy. Mahrez is the player we are missing.
Mahrez of two seasons ago. The one season where he was 'that Mahrez'.
Undoubtedly has talent, but I think its fair to question just how he might apply it given he has only ever had one hot season.
Who is the real Mahrez? The one from that single season, or the one from the rest of his career?

Judging by the comments from Leicester fans last season, he goes missing quite a lot.
This, i have posted elsewhere that i was in a pub after the Leicester game there last season and got into conversation with a few Leicester fans. To a man they said he was great during their winning season( but also said the whole team was) but since then and before that season he is a lazy player and is not a team player.
Not one of them said they would worry if he left.
It is this reason why I don't think that we are interested and the links are just paper talk. There isn't room for passengers in a Poch team.

I feel a "reverting to mean" coming on!
I cant quite decide with Mahrez. Part of me thinks its the case and he was a one hit wonder, part of me thinks in the right team he could be incredible. I lean more to the former, but Im far from certain.
For 50 million you need to be certain. There is a reason he is still at Leicester though if Sanchez does go to city then he will probably be an arsenal player by this time tomorrow.
