Richarlison

He's that brick, there are only three players better than him in the PL this season.
If you think there are only 3 players in the league better than Richarlison then you are either intentionally playing dumb or simply not as smart as you think you are.

He may have scored 3 goals (including 2 in the first game of the season) and two assists but in most matches he does not give us much.

If he is truly as good as you are trying to suggest then I guess as he has about 20 months left on his contract you would implore Spurs to offer him a new contract? Well you are on your own.

After his performances in the Europe Cup final, then in the Super Cup, and the first two league matches of the season I thought we had finally got the player many of us thought he could be. Alas, it did not last long. He runs about a lot sure, but he fails to hold the ball up, spends too much time on the floor and whinging to the ref.

I would play him off the left. Muani CF. Kudus right.

One second half moment last night when a number 9 would have got himself into the 6 yard box and try to feed off the scraps. Richi peeled off to beyond the far post and of course the ball never got that far. In that moment, I know you're right about him being a left forward and not a number 9. Just like his best Watford and Everton days.

Not a bad thing either. He's played quite well for us in that role including the EL final for the 60-65 mins he was on.

Think he showed yesterday that he's a decent backup option as a striker. Sure, he didn't have a particularly good game. But he also came really close to scoring at least a couple of times. If we play similarly well, or better (which we should realistically hope for with more of our best players back in) and create chances and situations like that he'll score at a decent rate while also having other good moments and being a bit of a pain for the defenders.

Good enough for where we want to be, maybe not. But as a backup striker who can also play on the left who has experience and fight in him he's alright.

Obviously if we can upgrade, if we have the money and other areas aren't a greater priority, sure. Upgrade away.

Best thing he did last night was win a FK on the edge of our box to end a period of pressure from Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Stuff like that is huge though, a major part of a forwards job, and he is better at that than others.

I don't see him as a CF, his hold up play is non-existent, I see him as our best option at LWF at the moment (and backup CF). We have Chelsea up next, and I sure want his fighting mentality in that.
I posted that table as everyone was piling in on him, like he's dogbrick. He's obviously not, and he's a part of the team that has us sitting 3rd in the league.
Last night he was getting pelters for one cross that was sent in behind him, and one too far in front. I didn't think we played that bad, created some decent chances with a patched up team, but the entitlement in here is hilarious.

A decent back up striker does not cut it when we have as many injury problems as we do with our first choice central striker.

Striker and LWF are now absolutely our priority. A passing capable CM and LB alternative would be next on the list.

I agree with you re LWF and Striker but unless we can get top quality in January I would rather wait until the summer. Many players will not risk moving 6 months before the world cup.
