Research shows Sprite best for curing hangovers

Preventing a hangover is not too difficult... drink a **** load of water in the hours before going to bed...

reality is I almost NEVER actually manage to do that

When the inevitable happens, shower, brush teeth, fryup, orange juice, coke (and in that order) tend to sort me out, eventually.

Any kind of junk food and loads of coca cola. Other options include hair of the dog and the great, white phone.

I'm always interested when people say they have never had a hangover, I just can't see how it's possible. I'm sure that it is possible, but I just can't fathom it!

There's a hangover, where I feel like I've had a drink, but I wasn't a falling down mess the night before -- these hangovers would just be a headache, feeling a bit sick (maybe throw up once or twice) and just a general dodgy feeling all day. And then there are the few times in my life where I have been ridiculous, so p*ssed where I have proper gaps in my memory, thrown out of the place, sick all over the place etc. And on those occasions, I couldn't even hold water down the next day, certainly couldn't eat anything and pretty much just felt like dying. Sprite would have done nothing on those occasions.

I'm glad I'm getting old and hardly drink anymore!

I actually f@*#ing hate my hangovers with a passion, they are relentless and get worse as the day goes on, from 8pm til bed time (midnight) it is so bad that I can barely think and struggle to sleep. Worse still is that there is no cure for them, yep absolutely nothing works. Today was a mild one until few hours ago when it decided to go into over drive. No sympathy of course, all self inflicted but it is seriously getting to point where I have given thought to giving up booze for good.

If you're hangovers are kicking in at 8 you are obviously still ****ed during the day which to me just says you are drinking far far too much go easy on the booze you'll be amazed how great it makes you feel waking up fresh on a Sunday

I do not suffer from hangovers, never have. Used to get drunk silly when i was in my late teens and always remembered the night before aswell.

The only problem i ever had was i would always wake up early after drinking and never managed to get back to sleep which was a bitch. I would come home at 4 and be awake by 8.

I got smashed beyond belief on friday for my birthday, am amazed I had no hangover on saturday, only thing I felt was ridiculously tired for 2 days

The funny thing with me is that i don't suffer from hangovers no matter how much i drink BUT my stomach always hurts every time i drink alcohol and i tend to always vomit half way through the night. I just get this annoying pain regardless of the type of alcoholic beverage i drink (except maybe shots) which is why i don't drink much at all.

So i was boasting about not experiencing a hangover but dear GHod i experienced the worst one ever whilst in Atlanta. Had so much planned for the next day too but had to cancel everything due to being ridiculously ****ed.

Haha

Just seen your original comment.. I've got a mate who gets real bad stomach cramps if he drinks anything alcoholic which is fruit flavoured (not sure if it's scientifically proven but he seems to think those are the ones that cause it, and we've seen it a few times).. He has to stick to beer, whiskey, guiness etc but can't drink wine, cider or anything like them alcopop type drinks. Are you the same or is it with everything?

Cider and small shots (probably because of size) doesn't effect me as much but i still get slight pain/cramp. Anything else and my stomach plays up like hell.

I think everybody reacts differently to different alcohols. It's all about the differentiation in our DNA and that we process foods and liquids differently. In the same way that people have Gluten allergy, so some may have disproportionately big hangovers created by selected types of alcohol.

Dioralyte if you remember/can open the packet, before bed or else first thing in the morning followed by something greasy.
