Not sure why people say lennon has no end product, he did a couple of good crosses and a couple that got blocked by a defender, like any winger does.
Fantastic as in he played a massive part in our first win at OT for 23 zillion years and did everything that was asked of him. Not at fault for either of the goals, held on to shots and cleared his lines well. As for distribution, most of the time he had no option but to punt it upfield especially second half when United were not only too tight on our defenders but also winning back possession off them far too easily. Also his long-ball distribution was made to look poor because Defoe was getting eaten up every time.I agree with Murmon, he was solid, nowhere near fantastic or we would have won 3-0 and we would have some nails left.
But please can he stop trying to find the head of Defoe or Lennon, it is not working.

In terms of ratings, I thought Dempsey and Sigg were fairly anonymous which is very strange in a 4231... I mean that formation is basically set up so that the second striker or playmaker or whatever you want to call him can do whatever he wants and run the game. He has 2 midfielders behind him and 3 options all around him. But both Dempsey and Sigg don't seem to do much...
However I have a theory on this... both look very ordinary, from a distance on a crap stream both look like Bale or one another or Dembele even... if they were to grow an enormous afro like Hudd or be 4 foot tall like Defoe or be 7 foot tall like Ade or have a stupid haircut like Cisse I might notice them more and appreciate their contribution more.
Walker was out of position a number of times.
And we let Scholes and Rooney have 10 yards of space at all times.
But yeah, we played well otherwise.
6.5 seems a tad harsh on Bale given he scored one, created a second with a great shot had a hand in the third AND did some stirling work Baling out Vertonghen at LB.I agree that he did everything ask of him, and in the second half he didn't had a lot of choice but smash it as far as possible. Still no more than a 6 for me. He was solid and I expect him to keep it up
Just for you to be able to compare here are my rating of the others players :
Friedel 6
Walker 5
Gallas 6
Caulker 6
Vertonghen 7
Lennon 6
Sandro 7
Dembele 6

I don't remember seeing him that much during the second half when everybody was defending, maybe it is just me, but he seems quite greedy also more than once when you know that away at Man U you won't get that many chances it is sometimes frustrating.
When you are as talented as Bale, believe me greed is good. And if you don't buy a ticket ...I don't remember seeing him that much during the second half when everybody was defending, maybe it is just me, but he seems quite greedy also more than once when you know that away at Man U you won't get that many chances it is sometimes frustrating.
Hey Glenroy, last week you said you weren't at all sure about Dembele... I can't remember your exact words but you weren't complimentary
What do you think now?
Paxton - good point about Caulker, I forgot all about him being a child at OT... he did really well I think as I didn't constantly think "oh no it's gone to the kid" whereas sometimes when the kids play you do think "oh no here we go" and they look out of their depth. Fair play to the lad. We weren't all that solid to be honest, but he's gone to OT and won which is not something many Tottenham centre backs can say.
