...Blanchflower would later captain Spurs to their 1960-61 League Championship.
'Welcomes'? Wouldn't have blamed Danny for catching the next train home following a welcome like that ... :lol:
Uncompromising b*****d was Sir Alf, probably a clue to why he was the only English manager to win the WC.

Spurs 8-4 Rangers (aggregate score), European Cup Winners' Cup 1962. Was at the home leg but cannot pretend I remember much of it now. Rare brainfart by Dave Mackay at 1.53 revealed even the great man was human after all. Would have been annihilated on here for that.
