Randal Kolo Muani

Like the idea
Who do you play wide?
I was thinking, given the lack of creativity, we could go with something like:

Kinsky
Spence, Super Kev, VdV, Udogie / Souza
Bentancur, Bissouma
Porro, Bergvall, Richy
RKM

With the idea of Porro supplying bullets for Richy and RKM to … fire blanks!

Not sure how else we’re going to score other than via a set piece. It’s dire straits…

I'd scrap the bloody awful inverted wide play or whatever it is, go wide quickly and get ball in dangerous areas, going back and inside has created little, all too simple and unsophisticated I know but we rarely get the ball in box and when we do never get their defenders facing their goal.

Gallagher right scares me
It brings out the worst of his game
I be trying Spence ther maybe
Maybe but I don’t see RDZ playing 19yo Souza at LB if Spence plays RM.

It appears he favors more experienced players, which is paying off, so this allows him to play RKM, who is now our only creative outlet, in his best position.

Otherwise, if we stick to a 4-2-3-1 it’s Richie out left, RKM up top and Tel right. Either way we won’t have an attacking substitute on the bench so maybe we’ll have to limit our pressing to save the forwards’ legs for the latter stages of the game.

Our build-up play under TF was soooo bloody slow and predictable the opposition CBs were never put in uncomfortable positions.

I think our best hope due to all the injuries to our creative players is to win second balls from crosses into the box with a couple midfielders crashing in late. It won’t be pretty but I really don’t see any other options.

Still think there's a player there when he can be bothered. Would play him through the middle now Solanke is out.

I think with his pace he might be better through the middle but he's not exactly been busting a gut, that could just be his style but he'll play Sunday anyway as there's no one else. He's probably the quickest player we have apart from VDV and he can't dribble or cross so I don't think it's worth wasting him out wide.
