Randal Kolo Muani

A tidy finish, even if he was slightly offside… and good pressing to win back possession and then set-up Odobert for our goal too.

Hopefully we’ll start to see him playing like a World Cup finalist and Solanke’s return will help keep Muani on his toes.

Looks like their pochmarks have healed.

Wonder what Muani was thinking watching PSG do this while he has to play Frank-ball with a CMF who can’t ping an accurate long pass nor an attack on the same wavelength…

I think there’s huge potential in Muani. The only instances that have led to goals either for him or from him assisting are from him doing something off his own back not from waiting to be set up. He’s starved of service and I don’t think he’s being used properly.

Odobert’s goal on Saturday came from Muani tackling high up. We don’t seem to press high all that often (especially compared to last season) but he has the ability to do it and cause issues

"Why didn't I try harder when I was there"

I haven’t seen a forward put in so little effort for us since Adbeyor signed his last contract!

Whilst he might not have the pedigree, at least Tel worked his socks off and tried to score.

TF made the wrong sub. Tel was more effective and causing lots of trouble where both Muani and Odobert did not.

TF seems to have favourites and possibly "unfavourites" - not using johnson and bissouma even when we could have used their experience are further examples

Hopefully heitinga can help provide fresh perspectives

Fingers crossed Heitinga is that missing piece of the jigsaw and can get Muani motivated, as Adebayor was by Tactics Tim!

Adebayor was motivated by sticking two fingers up at AVB for the whole standing on a box bollox. Nothing to do with Tactics Tim.

We've just seen this with so many players. Eriksen quit on us towards the end, especially when his manager expected him to be Sissoko's water carrier and play deeper. We saw it with Hojbjerg just walking over the half way line as the ball hit our net. Ditto with Aurier just before him. Then we saw Kane quit on his work-rate, competing for headers with his back to goal and making himself available to his team mates. Sonny quite on Jose in the end and refused to track back on the left as per his manager's instructions.

I think when you play at a City or Pool, you just know this behaviour will not be tolerated and you'll be getting splinters. To a certain extent that is what Emery has brought at Villa. At Spurs though, players still get away with it. I was massively disappointed with Spence, Xavi and Muani on Saturday. I don't think any of them crossed that white line with an "all in" attitude at all. They weren't playing for the manager and fans like the other 8.

It's a problem at our club and has been for years.

How dare you question the genius of the man who brought those glory days back to WHL!!

He was fortunate to have a lot of easy games in that run, and a motivated Adebayor. The only notable win on paper was beating Man U 2-1 at their place. Against decent/motivated sides, he was clueless and lost to:
West Ham away 2-0
Liverpool away 4-0
Arsenal home 1-0
Chelsea away 4-0
City home 5-1
Arsenal away 2-0
If I had to choose between Frank and him, I'd still pick Frank.
