Putin & Russia

Nice to see Zelensky receive a spontaneous round of applause as he arrived at the Popes funeral. That quite something given it's a funeral and most are probably in absolute respect mode.

I'm sure it didn't needle the oh so important ones, ie the 'proper men dictators'

Tbh this is just going to circle around...stupid demands from Russia...Trumpy saying 'youve got no cards' to Zel. Europe in the background waving their little yellow and blue flags.

Putin is looking to drive a wedge between the US and Europe.
Putin isn't going to bend to diplomacy as the other heavyweight, the US, could well be as much on his side then any other.

Trump basically saying Putin needs old Trumpy there or he ain't showing up.

Was Trump even scheduled to be at these talks?

And weren't it Putin who suggested face to face talks in the first place?

Putin is just making up excuses as he goes along to avoid peace. Can't have a ceasefire without talks. Can't have talks without so and so present. Next week it'll be something else.

Trump was not supposed to be there afaik. He's just sucking Putin's balls as per usual, giving Putin cover and making himself feel relevent.

100% ....both just looking to corner and beat up on Zelensky again.

Its just going to go round in circles.
Europe is the only one that can break that cycle...but it would be a brave move.
 
Putin is too ill to travel though right, if he’s even still alive.

Was never going to show up, just another time wasting exercise by whoever is running Russia.

Back in 18th century, Peter the Great founding the Russian empire in conflicts in Baltic and Black Sea areas.

They lost a lot of land, current Baltic states and Finland were taken from Sweden by Russia.
