Bale is the best player we’ve ever had, by a considerable margin, he’s the first name on the team sheet.

We only had 1 season of him at his absolute best (2012/13), with the preceding two building to it.

Just compare their stats - Son 173 in 454, Bale 55 in 203. So Son scored more than 3 times the goals and played more than double the games.

No he isn't in the premier league era maybe
In my humble opinion KIng, Modric or Kane are the first on the team sheet

It's prime King, Modric, Kane, Walker, Vertonghen, Dembele, Eriksen and Bale that walk in my team. With Hugo in sticks and one of Rose or Ekotto at LB, that leaves just one space.

Such a close call between Dele, VDVaart, Berba, Son and Anderton in the way I'm thinking it.

By no means does Son get in based on just longevity if we're talking about prime players.

Where's Son going to play?

Not left back or left wingback. He showed against Chelsea that that doesn’t work. Use him left wing. Then we can get Bale and Son in same team. Unless we had this team up against the best of all Premier league for each club then think Bale at left back wouldn’t leave us over exposed as we would control the match with Dembele and Modric in the middle
