Not bloody literally!in which case...Mourinho's last result was a defeat.
I don't think anyone sane would judge a manager on one result.

It's been great which is why I've not called for him to be improved upon over the last year to 18 months when he's been floundering.Surely you have enjoyed it more under Pochettino than the previous umpteen years however?

He needs to turn things around quickly though, my patience is finite.
One year ago we were in the middle of our best ever start to a PL season, which would have been a strange point in time to be calling for the manager to be improved on...
But we have not had a good start this season! That’s all that matters.
I get it, you like the guy. But that’s not relevant, its just about wins and points.
I was responding to a post talking about 12 to18 months ago
Yes, I know. But we are experiencing a downturn now so would it not be a good time "to be calling for the manager to be improved on"?
If you want? not sure what that has to do with the post you responded to mate as i was specifically pointing out that 12-18 months ago were in the middle of our best ever start to a PL season and so the idea that someone was at that point having to be patient with a "floundering" Pochettino is nonsensical
Yes, I agree re: 18 months ago.
But you have been saying in the last weeks 'give him time' or words to that effect. But when is enough, enough? How many more poor results do we need in your eyes?
I'm not sure how many 'Brighton's' constitute the end of the road?
Two windows is a long time but I respect you patience.Had this discussion with Nayim yesterday in the MoPo thread mate - im happy to give him the next two transfer windows and in to next season to see through the much delayed squad transition - unless relegation becomes a possibility or a genuine squad mutiny takes place he deserves our backing afaic
So you would agree it was a long time to not sign any players and for that not to have any consequences. Two windows is a long time but I respect you patience.
So you would agree it was a long time to not sign any players and for that not to have any consequences.
What consequences? This confuses me.
Seems that people think players will get bored without new blood, and this is irrecoverable?
That players suddenly get old, and its irrecoverable?
That not buying for a year somehow dictates regression?
Genuinely, Im yet to understand what the problem really is with that year of not buying.
We have a core group that has been together the whole time, its hardly like they have had a great deal of rotation or even competition (considering Poch plays his favourites) over the last 3 or 4 years. Why is the last year such a big deal?
So you would agree it was a long time to not sign any players and for that not to have any consequences.
Poch has largely gone along with the club policy without having much of a moan! This is largely a problem of his own making as he has not made more noise and made Levy realise ‘in public’ he is not staying unless etc etc......
If Poch feels the club have done their utmost then I’m lost for an answer or solution.
We are where we are and Poch will have to the best of a poor situation!
Im not sure you can knock the manager for going along with club policy on transfers whilst a stadium is being built and impacting our strength in the market - are you guys now in a position where you are complaining that our manager didn't rock the boat and put public pressure on the club to strain itself financially at a critical point in it's history? Because you're beyond reasoning with if so
