Zero surprise. But Zach didn't know he had a council tax bill for his boat house.

This must seriously be around a dozen now that have stepped down or been removed because of racism or history of racist views.

Interesting none of the "well if you vote for reform you are accused of being a racist" mob have made a single comment about it, surely they would be keen to have a view considering these councilors are the driving factors to why people think there is a racist undertone to the party??

It’s obviously a shambles, but just for some balance, they have many ethnic councillors at the party also. They seem to have found the whole spectrum from racists to reformists and all the colours in between.

Further to this, I highly doubt all of the voters were racist looking at reforms gains … otherwise we would have to look at this with a very different lens.

I think there are blurred lines here, I think people are fed up with the channel crossings, a failed asylum system, the lack of movement with the investigation of Pakistani rape gangs, broken promises by Starmer and, co and so they are voting outside of the failures that Labour and conservatives have previously offered. It’s just that obvious.

Nigel has obviously tapped into the sentiment and is reflected by people’s votes. Does any of that make people racist? I don’t think so personally.

Farage like all politicians make for very unsavoury characters. It’s almost like you have to be a clam naturally to be a politician.

My point being though that I don't think there has been a party that has had to remove a dozen people in a week for being racist, this is also the second wave of this given that the last elections they had to police their member base including a bloke who if memory serves was driving a car with racist slogans on the side or something as absurd.

I don't think for a second everyone who votes for Reform is racist, far from it, but I do think they party has a clear racism problem within its base, I don't think given the number of party removals that can really be denied.

My point was also that their supporters seem against acknowledging the news that those who have show racist tendencies have been remove, you are the first on here to acknowledge it and taken me to be purposely provocative for that to happen, although I respect the fact you have called it a shambles.

Twitter and social media is the battle ground now for voters, and all parties have problematic voters, absolutely 100%, no denial, but some of the stuff you read under reform news honestly speaking, makes you want to cry at times given how blatant the level of racism is. Again, for the record I am not saying all voters are, there are clearly too many supporters for that, but they have attracted a base of them. For balance here I see the same with Antisemitism in other party voters, so its not just a reform problem but it is a problem

Nothing to disagree with any of that.

I’m not a reform apologist or favour any party for that matter. I do however like that the established two really need a long hard look at their performances in previous governments.

It feels like people have leaned into reform almost solely not to vote for Labour or Conservative.

Reform is a young party and I think there will be more racist views shared by councillors before they refine the party and take a different turn. Let’s be honest here, the things they are promising are just not going to happen.

Like I've said previously, I don’t vote but I do like to observe what’s happening. I find some anger on this forum comical at times, with members having their own agenda and propaganda, I just prefer a more balanced discussion. That’s not a slant on you personally btw.

For me a lot of reforms votes are not votes for Reform, they are votes against the major parties.
Similar with the greens.
What should make them sit up and take notice is that despite Reform having a clear racism problem, be a party of grifters and chancers voters are still willing to put their x in that box.

Just to chime in, racist people are a bit dim in the first place and if they are voting reform solely based on what they think is going to happen if they win, just highlights the fact.

Reform, if they win will be one of massive disappointment for those people who think like that. Reform cannot flick a switch and change the mess that we currently see in society. But my biggest concern with reform is the unknown entity of the economic plan. The social reform aspect is a known agenda on their behalf, but their economic figures don’t stack up to date.

Nigel Farage though like him or loathe him is a very smart operator who knows how to get people listening.
