yes those are my thoughts and I will mark the word, though I’m not sure why your getting angry or trying to prove I’m a fruitcake, I do that well enough on my own.

I am sure I’m in a minority view on this but that doesn’t bother me one iota. Got some experience of this.

but I cannot personally, doesn’t have to be anyone else, be comfortable with him being revered as a great captain, some of his conduct off the pitch was not good at all.

but what’s worse, me trashing a long serving player, or you a young lad, excited to join us being written off before the inks dry?

Happy to see we are looking forward and lets hope this guy is the one to replace Lloris. Hugo has been a great keeper but his standards have dropped ( imo) over the last coouple of seasons.

He has been on the wane for a couple of seasons, he seems unable to come off his line anymore and flaps at the ball far more often then he used to be. Not saying he has not been a great keeper ( third best i have seen in our shirt) but his best days are behind him ( here at least).

We should be succession planning and hopefully this is what it is. I was hoping we’d sign a young keeper this summer, so that’s great, I’ve no idea how good this guy is however.

Don’t agree in the slightest of your analysis of his last 2 seasons though. I think some are just not forgiving him for being brick in his middle patch with us and refusing to acknowledge improvement.

Well as they say Stop! Hammer time, not saying this new guy will take over from Lloris ( yet) but its good to see that we are looking forward. To be honest i know nothing about how good this guy is so we shall see i guess.

After he went through a rough patch his shot stopping has been very good with some top class saves. However, he is now glued to his line and is really poor on crosses.
He rarely comes and catches anything in order to take pressure off the defence. The fact he won't come off his line, which it the exact opposite of what he was originally good at, means it's harder to play with a high line.

He is horrendous on crosses
It’s his weakness and really really hurts his game
