Penalties

I presumed the second part of your question was referring to the PL in general

As for Spurs - Keane probably has a decent record.

Good question! I'd say in the last few seasons we've probably missed the most.. Why didnt Bale step up the other night and take that pen? Dempsey didnt look comfortable at all..

I first thought Keane, but he did start to miss a few towards the end of his Spurs career. Teddy bagged a few for sure.

Dont remember Klinsmann missing one off-hand, but didnt stay long enough really.

Probably between Keane & Sheringham recently, but I'd give it to Sheringham because he always seemed to miss them when playing against us! His first season at United and then for West Ham during the Lasagna game. And there's always Terry Fenwick!

I think Adebayor has scored all of his so far hasn't he? GHod our record was awful for a couple of seasons, I think Defoe had a three in eight record or something like that, which meant the likes of Huddlestone stepping up and missing.

How many penalty shoot-outs have we lost in a row now btw?

I worked out since I've followed football my record for Spurs and England penalty shoot outs is won 0 lost 8:

England v Portugal x2
England v Italy
Spurs v victims (Carling Cup)
Spurs v PSV (UEFA Cup)
Spurs v Man U (Carling Cup)
Spurs v Middlesbrough (Carling Cup)
Spurs v Stoke (Carling Cup)

Add in the Chelsea Champions League win last year and that's a pretty fudging depressing run. I hate shoot outs.
