Letting Jennings and Greaves go too early. That's the two worst decisions in the clubs history (and GHod, there has been a lot).
My memory of Daines is a little different, in that whenever called on to play when PJ was injured he would play really well.
Unfortunately, when PJ went so did BD's ability. It was really sudden and obvious .... was it because he didn't have a star to emulate?
Classic own goal against Bristol Rovers !. That was the return after Lacy scored 4 on debut in 9-0 at the Lane
i hope we got good money for jennings when he left - don't recall him ever being a bad keeper. did we really think we had a keeper who could be better than jennings?
Sort of. If it is the one I am thinking of, he came for a long, lofted ball into the box, got underneath it, and after it went over his head he threw back an arm to catch it one handed.
Loved that. Was a bit worried when I saw his thread had been bumped...speaks volumes of the man that he is still at the club. I’m glad it was a written interview though I’d never have understood a word otherwise!Stumbled across this, via newsnow.
Really interesting read from big Pat on both old and new Spurs.

Apologies I was also concerned when I saw that Pat Jennings name was trending on Twitter so it was a relief when I read it’s his birthday!I hate when these threads get bumped - really worry me every time -
Best wishes Pat.
Happy Birthday Pat, best keeper we have had here and a great bloke.
