They couldn't anytime soon and that's the point. So they've taken short cuts and bought success.

Compare them to scum. Finishing 4-7th until Wenger comes along, buy quality players and improve year by year with a manager who knows the players to improve his squad. As much as it pains me to say it I know who I respect more and ill never respect the Chelsea's and especially City.

I know this wont bother you or anyone else one iota but I'm 30 and have spent 20 years following THFC week in week out but I'm SO close to making a very difficult decision and stopping. This isn't football as I love it anymore. I'd honestly, and I do mean honestly, see us finishing 10th every year with players like Mabbutt, Austin and Sedgley than some of the players we have playing for us right now. If we were ever bought like them that'd make that difficult decision very easy for me.
 
I'm very slightly older than you, and i have a very similar dilemma, albeit for very different reasons

I want us to be serious about winning, as far as in concerned if we are not trying to be the best team there is then we might as well shut the club down

Eveytime I see you lot on tv its the same, swathes of empty blue seats, I thought for one sec id gone colour blind and it was the Emirates

Im glad you're going to win it though, anybody but Chelsea or Liverpool

I dont know if anybody knows, but is there any real reason why all the final games are being played tomorrow, and not today?
Would have been great to finish with a Saturday 3pm kick-off

Isnt it some rule about no 3pm's on a saturday in this country being allowed on tv
