Peak Toby and Bale is long gone and will never return. It's about now not at their prime.
Son would get games but not a certain starter. Same for Ndombele. Maybe in the future he would be a consistent starter, but not now.

We need 2 centre backs and a deep lying DM who is good on the ball We need the managerial first choices too in those positions not potential not make dos. I don't think this squad is as bad as some are making out. 3 players in those crucial positions would make a big difference, but we also need to attack and defend better as a group. Something we are not doing well. That I'm afraid is on Jose.

True. not that it matters but there was a raised-arm nudge from Gundogan that pushed Sanchez. He needs to be stronger and anticipate better though.
