OOMT: Spurs vs Didn't Swansea used to be good?

SUBS - here are our substitutes against Swansea -

THFC team: Lloris (C), Walker, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Rose; Alli, Dier; Lamela, Eriksen, Son; Kane.

Subs: Vorm, Davies, Trippier, Bentaleb, Chadli, Mason, Onomah

Alli back at CM...really strong bit harsh on Mason but thats as strong as we can get imo.

unless its Eriksson at cm.

I would imagine it's to overload our attacking options seeing as Swansea will probably park the bus ala Watford.

Son and Lamela providing width; Eriksen flitting around behind Kane and Alli making runs from deep while Dier holds would seem to be the game plan.

Strong team - in an ideal world we obviously go 3 up by HT and can then take Dier, Kane and Alli off

Realistically though, we'll dominate possession, have 25-30 shots but they'll score on the counter or from a set piece and we'll lose 1-0

I think I'd leave Dier out tomorrow (or at the most have him on the bench) given his current 8 yellows. You never know what mood of ref will turn out on the day. We need him for the Spam and Woolwich games. If he picks up a yellow against Swansea and one against Spam, then we've lost him for Saturday against Woolwich. If he picks up yellows Weds and Sat, we lose him for Villa and Bournemouth which should be manageable (and Mousa will be back, hopefully). I'd leave Kane on the bench, give him a bit more rest but he's there in case we are struggling. Give Chadli or Son another run out up front.
Loris
Trippier Toby Wimmer Davies
Bentaleb Mason
Lamela Alli Eriksen*
Chadli

*Question mark whether Eriksen should start. He put in an absolute full shift on Thursday and may benefit from a break. He's a player I'd want against Spam and Woolwich
I'd play Trippier again tomorrow as I'd pick Walker on Weds against Spam.. I love Trippier playing but I think we''ll need that bit more defensive stability on Wednesday.
Oh well what the hell do I know!
COYS!!!!

Going forward, I'll be interested to see how Alli develops. To begin with I expected him being used sparingly deep in the midfield, however his goalscoring exploits have seen him moved into the front quartet. I think that our purchases in the summer will reflect where we see him playing in the future.

I like the lineup. Kane and Son will be fresh.

I know Rose and Walker seem to be our A game full backs but I wonder why Poch never mixes Walker/Davies or Trippier/Rose.
Personally, I would have played Trippier and Rose as they are more attacking against lesser sides that sit deep and also with Wednesday in mind as West Ham are a big threat aerially and I would have thought a Davies/Walker combo would have been better on Wednesday.
Anyway, Poch knows best I guess.

Alli will look to get forward past the midfield at every chance and is suited for risk type of game where they may sit deep

Mason will suit West Ham where it will need controlled aggression
