On this day...

Agreed, it is extremely poor. Awkward. The lighting coming from all angles. The sizing of each player. The way they don't interract. The way they do interract. The unnatural poses. Everything is just really bad, hence me thinking it was a quick Photoshop
I thought Glenn Waddle was a good likeness though.

Ohh, I wish I had a picture of my back garden to show you from this time last year. Weeds and bare patches everywhere, lilacs and forsythia barely in bloom. rhubarb hounded by weeds.

After a lot of work and attention, it's looking so much better - full, green lawn, rhubarb plants already the size of elephants' ears, orange lillies shooting up in tidy rows. Now just a matter of deciding what variety of tomato plants to put down. Did 11 varieties over 18 plants last summer. Purple Germans, yellow and black cherry tomatoes, beefsteak, green zebras, amongst others.

Between that spell of relaxing work, a glass of really nice Argentinian Malbec/blend wine (Los Haroldos 2014), a snack of cream cheese and smoked Steelhead trout and a little quality jazz (Tell Your Friends by Snarky Puppy) I scarcely remember the man who was so frustrated by the state of the garden last year.

Or by the state of Spurs after that loss to WBA earlier today.

I was only a youngster so was in bed by the time the game was on, but i remember being woken up by my Dad shouting the house down when the goal went in - he was then on the phone to one of his mates and they were just in hysterics laughing down the phone to each other, remember coming down the stairs peering through the bannisters watching him just laughing in to the phone for what seemed like forever :D

I remember it well, although I was only watching it at home. Just a moment's shock and silence then erupting into shouting and cheering and laughing. Just brilliant.

I recall - less clearly - a game at WHL a few years after that I think. The camera panned onto Nayim who was at the game, resulting in "Nayim from the halfway line" resounding from all corners of the ground.
