Thought the same with that Vincius decision. Players need to think like Spurs fans!Phew.
They all count, but once again, we don't look fluid at all. And it's interesting how much more fluid we looked when Sissoko went off, although truth be told, West Brom were flagging by that point and that also played its part.
Good grinding out of the win, excellent game management for the final five minutes, Vinicus' needless giveaway at the end notwithstanding.
Top now, for a couple of hours. Maybe, heading into this difficult run that awaits us after the break, that will be just what the team needs. Also apparently first time we've been top of the league for six years, a stat that is utterly shocking in and of itself - we never led the league at any point under Poch? Christ.
when we play the 'better' teams, it'll be a whole lotta open, and we'll probably go counter attack
Phew.

No!!!!! I wasn't the only one who thought it a total flimflam excuse.
But I'll I hold my hands up, I didn't expect us to get that over the line. I'm delighted we've snatched it. Not a good performance at all, but a brilliant result.
Top of the league, no narrative required. The looming question remains though; can we get back to playing like we did against UTD and half of West Ham?
Hopefully the international break allows for some big bucking up of ideas.
Lo Celso and NDombele are never fully fit at the same time, Lo Celso isn’t currently fully fit. Also is pretty clear Hojberg isn’t exactly a defensive midfielder, he is far more progressive than we imagined he would be.And I’m not really sure who you are to tell one of the most successful managers in the history of the game what he needs to learn....Jose needs to learn that against crap sides you play your more technical players, you cant play Sissoko in a midfield with another defensive midfielder because we just give up too much possession. Its counter productive
Phew.
