OMT - Tottenham Vs Aston Villa

Saudi Sportswashing Machine should be good opponents to build upon this performance. They'll give us space and chances, our defensive players can have another game where there's a bit of pressure but nothing that they can't handle if they are playing at least 6/10
 
It was reasonable. It's one of those where a draw or a loss and the atmosphere on here is very different but a win is nothing to get wildly excited about.

I feel like we restricted them to very little chances. We need to keep a balanced defence for a while and try to get better as a unit.

Playing N'dombele in free role worked better. He was good in the first half then faded. But it was perfect to then replace home with Lo Celso.

Son pushed hard. Was all over. Kane still looks like he is half interested for me. But still created and had chances. Skipp and Hojberg were solid and a nice goal from the later.

We played well as deserved 4 goals really. Chances were up. Style was much better. Time wasting was funny at the end. Keep this team going forward now for a while. We need to settle. Royal and Romero can settle in.

I feel during the middle of this season Gil will take Moura's place. More energy, more guile. Time will tell.
 
Dier is so protected with players all he does is just stand there and let the baal strike his huge frame. I thought he was not fast enough to prevent ollie Watkins equaliser. Hojberg, royal, Skipp all had important clearances in the 6 yard box so it's the coaches intent.

I think that if we can tighten up the defence Nuno will allow the midfield to push forward more to close the gap with the attack.

Agree with the MOTM
Tanguy was our weakest link though
He does step overs when he had space to run
He under hit passes
He just wasn’t effective and went backwards

Good call on Dier. I didn't realise so much at the time, but he had a very good game, as did Romero (one tackle aside). Maybe Dier just needs a senior defensive partner rather than Sanchez, Rodon or Tanganga. He needs to focus on his own game rather than having to lead the defensive line.
