We tactically needed someone not in the middle of the pitch.

They're Liverpooling the ball into the corners - no point in having him in the middle watching it fly over his head.
 
The defence from midfield to Toby and Rose are dreadful. Jose needs at least one transfer window to turn this team around maybe more.
 
The quality of Aurier's crossing is understated, since the halfway stage of last season hes consistently been puting in fast and accurate crosses.
