Until last week, we had won 5 consecutive matches in all competitions. Since then, we have now drawn 2 matches in a row. We badly need a win to get back to winning ways. We had comfortable wins over Bournemouth last season, winning 3-0 at home and 5-1 away with Kane getting 5 goals in both matches. Now with Kane out injured, can see this match being more tougher to win.

Without Kane, our goals seems to have dried up in recent matches. Alli is the only player who have scored for us in the last 3 matches. Despite that, Alli has also wasted many goal scoring chances. Son has not scored during these matches as well. Janssen is still trying to score his first league goal for us and Lamela has not looked at his best in recent matches. We simply need to lift ourselves and get goals from somewhere to win this match.

We are still unsure which is our best midfield due to suspensions and injuries. Wanyama has been improving in recent matches. But Sissoko still has not been really convincing since joining us. Dembele is still struggling to get back his best form due to injuries. Despite all his talents, Eriksen is still inconsistent for us. Wish Eriksen can score from one of his freekicks after not scoring for so long. Otherwise, we might as well give the freekick duties to someone like Lamela.

Our defence did well to keep the clean sheet against Leverkusen. But wish Alderweireld can come back from injury. I think Vertonghen needs Alderweireld to be at his best in defence. I am still not convinced of Dier in defence as he is too error-prone. I will prefer Wimmer to partner Vertonghen in defence until Alderweireld returns.

Can see Boounemouth getting fired up just to get revenge for the humiliating defeats to us last season. I think we need to show them due respect and make use of all the chances we get. It is not going to be easy this time, but hope we will do enough to beat them again.

THFC team: Lloris (C); Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Wanyama, Dembele; Lamela, Eriksen, Dele; Son

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Wimmer, Winks, Sissoko, Janssen

Good to see Wimmer back. Davies and Trippier on the bench as well though. A bit overloaded in the defensive department on the bench perhaps? :p

I suppose having Dier being able to cover midfield helps out, maybe one of these days we might see Walker having a run out further up on the right with Tripper behind, athough needs to be a day when we are comfortable before we start to experiment, but tbh I could see it happening someday

Any "t-e-a-m n-e-w-s" yet ?

We need to turn up with the right mentality against Bournemouth. We cannot afford to be complacent or careless. An early goal will help us settle down. We need to make use of the chances we get to kill them off. Hope we get the win we badly need to move up the league table.

Is it just me or is Redknapp JR starting to look and talk more like his dad? :D:p He has that bulldog lazy eye antics about him.
