***OMT*** Tottenham...Thursday Night In Frankfurt

We also had a lot of key injuries in that run, which is often forgotten. Kane, Dele, Wanyama Lamela and a demotivated, wantaway Eriksen. We didn't have the squad options to cover them, hence a lot of games with Winks and Sissoko in midfield and a 34 year old Llorente up front. Due to the constraints of the stadium build we had not signed anyone the summer before, we were still playing at Wembley until April. Yet with a relatively small squad we reached the League Cup SF losing on penalties; achieved 4th place in the League and reached the Champions League final. Yes we had some luck on the way but I think we earned that. To compare that season to this one and suggest the difference is down to luck is, with respect, wide of the mark.
Yeah I mean downplaying the City game in particular, we beat them at home and went toe to toe with them away. Yeah we rode our luck. You don't get to a final of a competition featuring teams of that calibre without a hefty dose of luck.

We concede a goal or a HUGE chance within 90 seconds of every game.

Game after game it happens.

It will happen again tonight.

And that is why BIG Ange needs to go, unfortunately.

We will try to battle back from this SURPRISING setback.

A couple of days ago I travelled to Pompeii to see a mural of big Ange;

I think it took some time to convert / convince Mousa that centre mid was his natural place. At Fulham was an inside left winger and had even played number 9 earlier in his career.
Imagine getting the ball into Dembeles feet as a CF. He'd only have one player to beat to be in on goal. It would then be all about his finishing to decide whether he got 15 or 50 goals a season.

Said last week, I didn’t see anything at our place which hugely troubled me about them. Whether we can hack the atmosphere, which is bound to be intimidating, might be the biggest test.

Suppose it's better than a rainy Thursday night in Stoke, better sausages I'd reckon.

I think we will lose this on penalties. I won't predict anything about who miss except that his name ends with the letter Addison.

Mate, the football gods never shine on us ...

lol - you've always struck me as someone that was over 6 years old. Can you not remember what those beautiful gods did to us in 18/19 from the Barca to the Ajax game? They obviously realised that we had Sissoko in our team and therefore couldn't take the tinkle in the final.

I've been praying to them every day. I recommend it.

We were very unlucky not to have a 2 goal lead after the game at our place. If we can keep them out for the first 10 minutes we will have a great chance as we seem to play better against teams who try to attack us rather than sit with 10 men behind the ball and get us on the counter.
Mind you the competition is very open any of the teams left in it could win it
