5-0 Spurs, Kane hat-trick. We got this.

No Van Dijk today apparently. Not sure if that's good or bad. One of their ITKs is saying he's been sold to Liverpool, another also saying sold, but definitely not Liverpool.

Sounds like the bulk of ITK culture is pretty consistent across clubs.

We have won our last 2 league matches at Wembley. We need to continue our winning run at Wembley to help our top 4 race.
Traditionally, we have a good record during the Christmas period. Hope we will continue the good record this season as well. We have a good record against Southampton, winning 8, drawing 1 and losing 1 of our last 10 matches against them in the league. Southampton are winless in their last 6 league matches as well. So, there is no reason why we cannot win this match.

No doubt the whole world will be watching to see if Kane can overtake Shearer's record of most PL goals scored in a calendar year and Messi's record as the top European goal scorer of 2017. Ideally, Kane only needs 2 goals to achieve both the records. He could have achieved that against Burnley but he was unable to score more than the hattrick despite having many chances. Let's hope all our players will help Kane achieve his target by helping him score at least 2 goals. Lamela didn't play much against Burnley, so he should start this match. Lamela's creativity will help create chances for Kane. I think it will do Alli a huge favour if he is rested for this match after all the bad media coverage about his tackles and dives. We also need others like Eriksen and Son step up their game in this match.

Our midfield are still struggling without the injured Wanyama and not-fully-fit Dembele. We have badly missed Wanyama in midfield. Wish Wanyama will come back soon. Dier and Sissoko did well against Burnley. Won't mind if we play them again in this match. Wish Sissoko will improve his finishing though. It will be nice if Sissoko get a goal for all his work rate and runs.

Our defence did well to keep the clean sheet against Burnley. Let's hope Lloris, Vertonghen and Sanchez will help us keep another clean sheet. After all, today is Lloris' birthday. Let's hope Lloris will be at his best to make his birthday memorable. Will be disappointing if we don't stop Southampton scoring in this match.

Our second place finish in the league last season was largely due to our excellent second part of the season where we won 16, drew 2 and lost just 2 of our last 20 matches. We need to aim for a similiar run this season to finish in the top 4 places. It will boost our confidence for the new year if we can end this year on a winning form by beating Southampton in this match.

Any team news yet ?

Wish we can have all our best players soon. Southampton are winless in 6 matches, so will be desperate and won't make it easy for us. We need an early goal to help us settle our nerves and then go for more goals to kill the game off. Let's hope we will turn up with the right team and mentality to beat Southampton and stay in he top 4 race.

Rose for Davies. Maybe Lamela to start for one of Eriksen, Son or Alli. We need to do some rotation with four games in 13 days.

Starting XI: Lloris (c), Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane.

Substitutes: Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Winks, Lamela, Sissoko, Llorente.

Probably our best available team, I'd say (would maybe rather have Winks instead of Dembele).
