Was fearing the worst about Hudd not playing in pre season and Jenas getting all the game time....

André Villas-Boas faces a selection dilemma over Sandro that has compounded his problems in midfield as he prepares for his first match in charge of Tottenham Hotspur at Saudi Sportswashing Machine on Saturday.
Sandro has been away from Tottenham all summer due to his participation at the Olympic Games with Brazil, which ended only last Saturday when they lost the final to Mexico. But Villas-Boas has still not been able to work with him because the player has travelled with the full Brazil squad to Sweden for Wednesday's friendly at the Rasunda Stadium.
Villas-Boas has scheduled a later training time for Thursday's session at Spurs Lodge in the hope that his various international players will be able to join in, having returned to London. But even if Sandro were to train and do so again on Friday, before the squad fly to Saudi Sportswashing Machine, it would represent a gamble for the manager to pick him.
Sandro's match fitness is not in question and he is known for his stamina but Villas-Boas's 4-3-3 system is different from that of his predecessor, Harry Redknapp, who played 4-4-2, and Sandro would have very little time to practise in it. Villas-Boas met Sandro at the Brazil Olympic squad's hotel in Hertfordshire to discuss the new season and it is clear that the 23-year-old is integral to his thinking. But it is a source of frustration to Villas-Boas that he has not yet seen him on the training field.
Villas-Boas must also contend with the loss of Scott Parker to achilles surgery and the on-going issue with Luka Modric, who wants a move to Real Madrid. Modric, who has travelled to Croatia for his national team's friendly against Switzerland on Wednesday , has not yet trained with the Tottenham first-team squad this summer as his head and heart are elsewhere.
Villas-Boas is not likely to pick him at Saudi Sportswashing Machine, which would appear to leave Jake Livermore and Jermaine Jenas, the club's forgotten man, in line to start at Saudi Sportswashing Machine, in the deeper midfield positions behind the new signing Gylfi Sigurdsson. Villas-Boas has preferred Livermore and Jenas in pre-season to Tom Huddlestone, much to the latter's annoyance.
Chelsea have similar frustrations with Brazil over Oscar, the midfielder they signed from Internacional during the Olympics. Like Sandro he played throughout the London Games and he, too, has gone to Sweden for Wednesday's fixture. Roberto Di Matteo, the Chelsea manager, admitted that the situation was a hindrance and he will consider easing Oscar in gradually when he reports to Cobham later in the week. The Manchester United full-back Rafael da Silva has also been selected for the Sweden friendly, after competing at the Olympics.
Chelsea's Brazil centre-half David Luiz has travelled to Sweden despite limping away from Sunday's Community Shield defeat by Emirates Marketing Project after suffering a knock, and Ramires has been called back into the squad, though he has not played for Brazil since the 2011 Copa America. Neither Luiz nor Ramires featured at the Olympics. The Real Madrid defender Marcelo, who played at the Games, has been excused from the Sweden match.
The game will be the last to be staged at the Rasunda before it is demolished to make way for a new arena and it marks a re-run of the 1958 World Cup final that was staged there; Brazil beat Sweden 5-2. The Swedish FA has invited Pele and other members of that Brazil team to attend as the guests of honour.
