Just shows how important Kulu has become. In a similar way that the 3 at the back covers for certain CBs glaring weaknesses, Kulu's overwhelming quality and versatile playing style papered over the lack of an actual link between midfield and attack.

That's the thing. None of the players we brought in in the summer has made us any better, at least for now. Perisic has been decent, Richy has been allright, but apart from that, we haven't really improved much as a team.

We bought squad players rather than starters.
