Starting quickly.
What we play on the counter like we did at Wembley?
Starting quickly.
This match last season, and away to United, were very disappointing. The team didn’t even turn up. No effort, no fight, just went there and lost. We may as well have called the FA and asked that they simply awarded the other team the 3 points and that we would stay home. Hoping for a lot more today!

Whichever style Poch decides to play, the players need to be up for the match from the off. No repeat of some of our more dismal performances with slow tempo and no fight. Newport away, Soton away and Arsenal away, were all totally unacceptable performances. The tone seemed to have been set right from the start in each of those games. We start slowly and we find it very difficult to increase our tempo and passing. We need to counter that by starting at a high tempo from the start.
Agreed. Same as Arsenal this season. We really need to be "at it" from the first whistle. Another early goal would be a great boost.
OK. I think that I understand what you mean. We are just talking about playing well and being on top of our game.
Re-tempo. If we are playing on the break, that necessitates sitting back and absorbing pressure. I assume that you are ok with that, if we play well.
I am prepared to accept the tactic Poch wants to play. Either to sit back and counter or to press high with a high defensive line. Both have their merits. And a mixture of the two will keep the Pool players guessing. Which do you think we employed against United? They also had some pretty quick counter-attacking players in Lukaku, Martial and Lingard. The fact is we won that game by completely controlling the midfield. Dembele had a stormer and Eriksen was simply brilliant. They made Pogba and Matic look second rate all game.
The key thing is that the players play positively and at a high tempo throughout. Of course, it goes without saying that we need to play well.
No Moura.
Is there a worse midfield in the entire PL than thatLiverpool: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Can, Henderson, Milner, Mane, Salah, Firmino
