*OMT* Tottenham Hotspur vs Leceister

Can't believe some of these posts! Save players for the World Cup? Play Lamela and Llorente? Put Griffiths and Edwards on the subs bench? Seriously?!!

Has third place become so flippant - even before going into CL apportionment?

Looking at some of the formations and lineups from others, they really are quite bizarre and not sure if maybe they are just tongue in cheek perhaps?

Or maybe like the players and management of late, they are also simply exhausted as the season comes to an end?

Bitter is right. His beloved WHam are a shambles in comparison to the success story that is Spurs. I'm sure that tinkles him off no end.

To be fair we were absolutely shocking in that game, to the extent that at 0-2 defeat would have flattered us - it was that bad.

In fact considering the talent on the pitch, it is a contender for the worst game I have ever seen a Spurs side play.

Yep queue the ''did you see Spurs play in the 90s'' well I did and the shocking displays and results were often reflective of the dross we had on the pitch. But look at the team we picked the other night and the performance they produced.

Taking that into account, it could possibly have been the worst performance in the history of the Club.

LOL. Now I know why they gave you that avatar

Hopefully, Dier is available, he was only out through illness, right?

3 at the back, Sissoko at rwb as he played well in that position against Leicester last season. Drop Dele and Son who are both playing garbage.

According to Tony Gale, Diame just "clipped" him from behind. He sounded incredibly bitter the whole game everything we did was terrible and everything Saudi Sportswashing Machine did was amazing, so close and really unlucky.
What a knob he is.
He is a knob, but I thought he called a lot right on Wednesday night.
Also, he said 3 times that Trippier had been kicked in the back of the knee and those really, really hurt. I thought Trips would be fine to continue but Gale was right about how much they hurt.

@Charlie

Enjoy your chavatar for the off season...

Got to love this guy. Equivocation or no.

Here are the questions that you can't hear in the video. (And the answers for those not watching the vid)

It's your last home game at Wembley, what have you made of your time there?
I think we enjoyed it a lot. It's true that from the beginning nobody believed in us because everyone was worried about playing at Wembley for many, many games. I think we feel so proud. We could turn that feeling and all the negativity into a positive. We showed that we could find solutions. In the end we could create and feel that Wembley was home and is home now. The most important thing is rather than trying to find excuses, finding solutions. I feel so proud for everyone, of course the players first, our staff, the people who worked so hard to build and create that atmosphere and course our fans. We expect and demand a lot from them in moving to Wembley from White Hart Lane, it was a very difficult thing. All together now, we deserve to play Champions League next season to come back to our real home. I think everyone deserves the credit, the fans, the players and the staff. It was a massive job to achieve what we achieved this season despite so many things being against us.

You finished above Chelsea and Arsenal who have spent more, have you overachieved?
I don't know. I think you can judge better. For me it's about the people with knowledge about football, the fans to judge better than me. Our job from the beginning was to improve and to provide the group a good platform for the players to improve, help the team and help the club to do what we are doing. Rather than judge ourselves on whether we achieved or not, we were focused on improving every season. To be honest I don't know if that is right or wrong.

We were trying to improve and we wanted to provide exciting moments for the fans watching the team play. I think this season is the second best in the Premier League since 1992 and that is what we need to do. The future of Tottenham will be bright because of the facilities and the new stadium. It will be a massive thing trying to put the club where it deserves to be. There is no doubt about where the club will go. It is in a very good direction and a very good way, but no doubt it will improve.

You're now the top London club in 23 years, does that mean anything to you and the players?
t's a fantastic achievement. Of course for our fans they need to celebrate. They need to enjoy it and need to be happy about what the team is doing. But in the same way you need to feel a little bit that it is not enough. Like always I tell my players, sometimes when you win some games or after some training session when you happy because you've given your best, we try to cry to create the feeling that it is not enough. I think now we are close, very close because we are competing with the big sides. But now there is a lot of work to do. To challenge them and to beat them, e need a massive effort and faith. We need to work hard if we want to win titles. We are close but to put in a position to win we need a massive effort, and work more than we have worked if possible.

Do you need to spend more money to challenge for the title?
One way is to spend money. Another is what we are doing, to create players, like in the case of Harry Kane, Dele Alli. It's a different way. I repeat, when we arrived here it was to be focused in trying to provide the team the discipline, the philosophy to create the platform to competitive and then work with all the resources the club provides for us and be focused on delivering the best job. That is my focus until now.

After the season ends will you demand more money from Daniel Levy as Spurs have a lower net spend that Stoke and West Brom who went down?

No, it's not about money. Of course if you can deliver the job the chairman is so happy. To be in the top four spending the same money as clubs that are going to be playing next season in the championship. But he deserves credit too because the decision that we are here to work in this way comes from him. Of course he deserves credit too.

Do you expect Toby Alderweireld to be here next season?

I think now we need to focus on finishing in the best way. Finishing third is the most important thing now. Then from Monday we will talk about all that is going to happen next season. That is the moment. Now is not a moment to talk about individual situations.

Will you talk with him next week?

Of course. We are going to be ready from the moment we finish the season to talk about the important things for the next season of course.[/SPOILER]

Are we guaranteed to see you here next season?

What a question eh? It's not my... you know I still have three years on my contract. No point in talking about that. Only you know in football that everything can happen. No one is sure in their job, but I have a three year contract. Like I told the media in Spain after the game on Wednesday, they asked me about my contract and about what happened at some clubs, I told them: ‘Look I have a three year contract and they need to agree with Daniel.’

So you will 99% be here next season?

No, today it’s 100%

Next season?

I don't know, but today it is 100% because I have a three-year contract here. But tomorrow I don't know what is going to happen.

Does developing your own players not eventually leave you vulnerable to clubs with lots of money coming in and taking your best players?

I don’t know. It is too difficult to guess what is going to happen. I think we are in a position with a club like Tottenham, of course maybe we cannot spend the money like a few clubs. But of course we can provide very good salaries or spend good money and it is a very attractive club for the player. But always that happens in football, in all the clubs, big clubs that winning everything and the clubs that don’t win – always there is movement and players that want to leave, players that want to live different experiences, players that have different motivations, players that spend time here and they need to move or the club wants the player to move. There are many, many, many things in that business that make it so difficult to always talk about it in general. Every single situation is completely different. It is difficult to put it all on the same page.

I'm bored now.
Note to Self : check how many blooming questions there are first.

I really don't understand why they even bother asking questions to managers about if they'll stay or not.
1st They're not gonna get a definite answer.
2nd. It's not one bit interesting!

Journalists must be the thickest macarons of all.

Well, considering most people reading the sports pages are macarons too and looking for simple clickbait headlines, it all adds up, unfortunately.

One final trip. Dont think I will miss Wembley. Still cant believe we made the Top 4, possibly 3rd, playing there a full season. Great achievement, which wont really be appreciated by anybody outside of the club and it's fans until it's Chelsea turn to play there and see how they fare in their first season there.
When they struggle, somebody might think, crikey Spurs actually did really well when they spent a season away...I wont hold my breath though.

Hoping tomorrow we see the shackles off and a performance similar to the hammering they gave Leicester at the end of last season
