George Hunt
I think he is a great manager but subs certainly are a weak point of his IMO.
In fairness he could do with a slightly stronger bench too

Well today I do not think creativity was the issue, rather we had loads of chances that we just wasted

And in fairness he acted quickly when Davies was effectively playing as a forward, by bringing on Son which worked. Poch was probably too slow with the third sub, but any injury and we'd have been down to 9.
As he's one of our own it makes sense he scores own goals. He does have an eye for goal.
- Spurs have been eliminated from eight of their past nine European knockout ties in which they have lost the first leg.
- Since the start of 2013-14, Harry Kane has scored four own goals - twice as many as any other Tottenham player.
I agree how many teams that go a man down come back and get two goals to win. We'll disagree on that. The sending off doesn't happen and we win that match IMO. What happened last week is irrelevant to this match.
We had 25 shots at goal with just 3 on target. We did enough to have won it....Kane should have buried one, others as well. If you don't take your chances you lose. Not too down as i enjoyed the evening and our 10 played pretty well against 11.
Yes; but are you saying that Sissoko, Janssen and Nkoudou were not Poch's buys?
Couldn't believe it after the havoc he was causing Gent down the left when he'd suddenly switched to the right. Most of his dazzling footwork in the box was right in front of me and I thought, wow, this is exactly what we've been missing, Davies had been a complete waste of space but now we're in business, he's bound to make the difference the way he's giving them the runaround.Son was good down the left and then went central and was toss
Son is a good player but he drifts around too much which doesn't help
But this is where playing 3 at the back reduces our effectiveness as Toby's position from The central CB position kills his angle to hit the LW or LWB. To an extent it knocks Verts angle to the RWB.The thing is, Poch's stated style doesn't really allow for a passing 'tempo' to be maintained, as such - vertical passes are the order of the day, attacks are always to be looked for immediately after transitions, the ball must cover as much space as possible in as little time as possible, and the men capable of playing accurate long passes must be allowed to do so to spark attacks off.
For us, we're in a tricky situation - our best long passer is not Winks, not Dembele, not Wanyama, not Eriksen...but Toby. Jan isn't bad at them either. So I think, to an extent, it's natural to see the midfield being bypassed a bit, and equally natural to see us struggle to control the tempo of a game.
