If it was not for Benteke getting angry at Mason we would be even worse off points wise and in serious serious trouble. Bet poch and Levy are angry about the transfer window, they literally have another 6 weeks before they can even look for a striker.

My thought is Levy will go big for Bony at Swansea in January and pay 30m to keep us up.
 
Don't see why people are talking about fight, passion etc - no amount of that is going to help when we play with zero width whatsoever!
 
I'm shiitting myself here. I actually think we might be going down. The team is rubbish back to front. All of them are just rubbish.

We have bad players, no balls and no system. Thats really not a good combo.
 
Defence is so shaky like a late 90s/early 2000s defence. Can't believe they would be less comfortable with Daws and his experience in there.

they are playing for hull mate

Livermore and dawson for one...and thudd. big guy managed to control a midfield just with him and little luka..on defence and offense

I blame people that follow the ethos of Gutter Boy to be honest...constantly chasing foreign talent when good MENTAL talent is local
 
Kane and Soldado are MILES away from each other! They need to be closer and work with each other! there are no distinct runs from either of them. They're just jogging around up there!! No one initiates runs. They are waiting for the ball to played, then they start. It HAS to be the other way around! It's so slow!! It's painful to watch!

I do think that was more about Modric and what a genius he was. We controlled them with him and little Parker as well.
 
Let's just go 442 with two wingers and attack them ala Redknapp.

Lennon (can't believe I am saying this) wide right and Lamela wide left.

Literally, nothing to lose.

nope...he's been crap near enough every time he's played although i do think today he's been decent).


I do NOT see what people see in Mason though. He is NOT a playmaker type cm that releases the ball early as most say...he drives forward with the ball. People were saying he has a similar game to Luka? wtf the only similarity is that they are small and occasionally drive forward. Mason is clearly a number 10 and not a CM in the slightest (i think he has a bright future in an advanced role). His positioning today has been pretty bad.

Lamela has done an outstanding job in defence winning like 3 tackles , and covering a lot of ground.

Eriksen's doesn't help with defending, and his nearly assists are as good as soldados nearly goals.

I'm more infuriated with eriksen in this game, and I agree Soldado should've moved for the goal but it was more a shot than a cross... It was really fast.
 
Lots of small mistakes in that half from almost every Spurs player, but to be honest I just think Hull are scaring the **** out of half of our players by being close to them. Some of ours are getting stuck in, but some are praying that they don't get a pass. Hull are pressing superbly to be fair and that's all it takes apparently to make us look like frightened school girls.

I think the Stambouli for Eriksen with Kane going left of a front three might help a bit.
 
Looking at the way players constantly shift positions it is hard to see exactly what formation we are paying. Eriksen needs to be in a position to influence the game. The few times he has got on the ball in a roughly central position he has passed the ball well. But he is not a wide player - and Lamela certainly isn't playing like a wide player either.

Effectively we have 3 #10s , and no width at all. Poch does the tactics and formation -I wish he would play players in the natural positions.
