OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur vs Emirates Marketing Project ***

Amazing day and result. One of the best away days I have had watching Spurs. I think the 1st half was bland but that was because City weren't too sure how we would attack them and we also were just looking to feel our way into the game and not do anything rash.
Overall I think we deserved the win. We set up well and made sure that City didn't have lots free spaces to pop the ball around and our compactness made it difficult for City to get going. Other than the last 10 mins and the free kick that hit the bar, I don't think we looked like conceding at all tbh.

Clattenburg did do us a favour yesterday but the WHL fixture was nothing to do with him. The linesman in that game made those errors and actually city opened the scoring with an offside goal by De Bruyne and could have gone 0-2 up before we equalised yet that wasn't mentioned by anyone at all. Swings and roundabouts I'm afraid, City can be bitter all they like but they have had plenty of luck against us since 2010.
I have watched the City game at the lane several times. Kane was level with DeBruyne when the free-kick when it was taken. Therefore he was ONSIDE. And for the dier equaliser City had a chance to clear their lines after walker's cross from an offside position, but ducked up. At that point Dier was ONSIDE in a different phase of play? We did get lucky yesterday though.

This. Give our boys some fvcking credit!

I honestly think we struggle sometimes to realise how good we are as were in a state of denial just in case

There was some world class defining yesterday and it's been consistently good now all season. That comes from work, effort and talent

It doesn't come from a ref making a mistake

Sorry @Libero i should have been more specific (LOL)

I know it's swings and roundabouts but in this specific match-up Clattenburg (and his team;)) have massively helped us (by being sh*t) in both games.

@Bedfordspurs It doesn't detract from our achievement and it's nice that decisions have gone our way when it really matters. We would be fuming and i say that as someone who has fumed in seasons gone by.

Sorry ricky, I wasn't digging you out there, it was more that City fans were moaning about that forgetting the De Bruyne goal. The pundits don't help when they don't challenge those responses with facts either making it seem like we didn't get a bad decision against us in the first game.

I don't remember Kane being level but if you have watched it and say that's the case then fine but I don't remember that being the case. I felt the Linesman made errors for their goal and certainly one of ours.

Just a shout out to the away support. They were immense for the whole game and could be heard loud and clear.

"You're ground's too big for you!" Best chant yesterday imo. What a game, I still cannot speak and was buzzing all the way back on the 20:21 train. The whole experience was immense, the way we refused to give up against a team of superstars, the way we kept running and then that lovely ball through to Eriksen from Lamela and the cool finish . Then to top off a great victory the celebrations at the end with the players and the cherry on top - Poch! Thank you spurs - never seen us lose to Emirates Marketing Project away (admittedly that was the first time I've been up there in 7 years but not a bad record!).

Did anyone note how many nutmegs there were during the match? Seemed quite a lot

Surprised they weren't all on Yaya he couldn't barely move his legs

He was sweating like a pig after 10 minutes and there was one run which reminded me of Jonah Lomah but in slow motion

One highlight was towards the end when 3 of ours chased after the city player out towards the touchline like rabid dogs (and literally falling over each other:D).

I have never witnessed commitment like it. Poch keeps everyone included.

I think it was you that said we are like atletico? We certainly are, no superstars (but perhaps they are within our ranks already?)

This season is exciting, and due the way we have built this thing, so will the next few.

So is everyone else. We're Spurs, we're supposed to fudge things up. It's very hard for some to accept we might achieve success.

It was me and I think we can do what they did and spoil the party for Leicester or the sky 4

They survived with a small squad and ours is bigger

They also have a manager who works them hard from front to back (not a euphemism) and low and behold there a very very good side who are incredibly competitive

What a game ( and I have still not got my voice back) having witnessed us getting hammered in the last couple of games there it was brilliant to come out of the ground with the three points. And as for them moaning about the penalty decision then they should look at those games over the years when the decisions have gone for them which were just as dodgy.

There was only a short period of the game when I felt like we were getting over run a little and that was just after they scored, but we held on and got the winner and then all hell broke lose around me and I can not remember when so many fans went so mental.

This is why I spend my money on tickets and I will never forget the moments after Eriksens goal and the look on the players/ Pooch's face when they came over to us at the end. It was worth every penny spent and will live with me forever.

I love Spurs and days like that are what its all about.
