Im ecstatic for Defoe cos unlike some of you who cant appreciate whats he done cos he isnt a world class superstar - he has been an excellent servant to this club - albeit a very expensive servant
 
Nice to see Lennon make a tidy pass, and a neat finish from Defoe.

It is nice to be 2-0 up but let's not forget just how open and ragged we have looked all game.

They really should have beaten us today, but thankfully their players are just not very good under pressure (so far)

yep. still would rather have left soldado on. he needs goals. defoe plays for toronto.

we're now in a position where we coulsd potentially rip palace to shreds. soldado should be involved in this.

a couple of goals for soldado would have done the world of good. goals for defoe is a sentimental leaving present that means nothing in 6-8 weeks.

its the same with defoes el goals.

soldado could be on 15 for the season now, brimming with confidence and pushing on.

instead we have a player on who is leaving for toronto in 10 minutes.

i think the games soldado has played have been mismanaged, admittedly he hasn't been brilliant, but he's been denied these sort of games and these sorts of opportunities.
