*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham FC ***

I wouldn’t directly blame the officials for our miserable failure yesterday. But that doesn’t mean their contribution should be overlooked. Gillet was utterly abysmal from start to finish. It’s not a Spurs thing: it’s a football thing. The officials are totally ruining the game because they are completely and utterly unfit for purpose. Big changes are needed.

Absolute joke decision!

This could have been the moment when our club gave PGMOL a public vote of no confidence like Arsenal and Pool did through their official website.

Our club needs to start shaking Howard Webb to the core in my opinion. Enough is enough with his team's incompetence.

Our performances on the pitch are embarrassing enough. We don't need to go full on public meltdown because we get a bad decision from time to time.

Remember when we used to score last-minute goals?
The number we are conceding in the last minutes of a game says everything about where we are right now....if only we'd been able to shut Manure in that last minute, could have been a whole lot of difference....

Sigh

That's fair

I always try to keep the officiating as mutually exclusive from our own football issues. Whether people like to admit it or not, both issues are incredibly prevalent this season. Howard Webb doesn't deserve to be in a job at this stage of his tenure. Guys like Frank are falling on their swords whilst Webb disposition in football gets stronger. That is so wrong in my mind. He has done a terrible job managing PGMOL and things have got worse. Mike Riley was bad enough.

I do get what you're saying about the timing of going in hard on Webb this week though. We do need to address the PGMOL issue at some point though. It is very real and no football stakeholders should accept the current quality of officiating at the highest level.

Sorry, let me clarify. Even if we were top of the league by 30 points, coming out to complain about refereeing decisions would be pathetic.

That Bowen foul on Simons, only a yellow, despite being worse than the Simons tackle that saw red against the dippers.

Infuriating.

I didn't feel it was as bad to be fair. Bowen came quite close to getting the ball but knew the consequences of not getting it. I don't see with Bowen stretching that much that he could have had loads of pressure on Simons calf. Simons on the other hand could have had significant pressure on VVD's calf.

Absolutely no way that's ever a penalty for me.
And why not? He knocks the ball out of the path of Gallagher! There's no reason for his hand to be there! It's his hand going to the ball, not ball to hand. It's the clearest handball I've seen for quite some time!
What shouldn't be handball, is when someone blasts it into the hand of someone standing 1 meter away, with no possibility of reacting. But that's given as penalties! Absolute joke!
