*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham FC ***

I don't think Solanke or Udogie go straight in to the XI just yet - I'd expect Gallagher to come straight in

Well Frank is incredibly focused on the opposition's best players. So we should expect something like Gray being shuffled over to support Spence and negate Bowen. That could even mean a midfield 3 of Gallagher, Palhinha and Gray with Xavi benched or moved to the wider area.

This to me is the risk and the measure of if Frank has learnt or is capable of adapting out of Brentford mode.

The logical approach if you plan to take the game to West Ham is to look at what has worked for us (and players finding form) in those good 25 minutes here and there. That would suggest a front line of Tel - Xavi - Odobert with probably RKM to start and Solanke as sub. And in midfield, bring in Gallagher to go alongside Paulhinha.

The Frank/Bretford thing with be play Paulhina & Gray with Gallagher in Xavi role, punt Xavi out left and you lose one of Tel/Odobert.

If that's the case then I will really begin lose patience with Frank. Xavi's far far better in the middle, and if Frank is moving him out wide because of worrying about West Ham players of all teams then that speaks volumes about why we struggle the way we do.

We should be focusing on being on the front foot and worrying about our best attacking lineup, not moving players around because of Bowen who has been pretty poor this season because West Ham are rubbish....

Ooh that Bowen comment could come back and bite our arse.

This morning someone was spreading that Xavi wouldn't be starting.. but now its being rumoured that Palinha is out??? No idea what to believe at minute

Xavi has started 3 games out on the left and they were all early on - i don't see that being a likely option for the weekend.

That said, I've always felt that our squad/available players lends itself to 433, given our central midfield options, and it's a formation I've wanted to see us use more often.

I agree, Frank has been keen on emphasising the importance of our attacking play and I don't think he will do what was mentioned in the post I replied to.

433 would probably work, you could literally have the same team just positionally slightly different....

I actually think Gallagher in the 10 away from home and certain games at home would work extremely well, similar to how Sarr performed well there at the start of the season.

Though West Ham at home I think is a game we should be braver..

If Palinhia is out then Gray alongside Gallagher with Xavi in the 10 for me.
