Like that team; prefer it to resting half the team. Give players like Sanchez, Eriksen and Dier the midweek off and send them to a beach somewhere til Wed

Indeed. No reason whatsoever why any of todays starting X1 should start v Apoel. 11 changes with maybe the 3 that get subbed today on the bench Weds night

I don't like that team at all - it contains three players in utterly horrific form (two of which are shattered).

Poch is struggling to see the wood through the trees atm so don't be surprised if he picks close to his first choice eleven against Apoel.

Will be very interested to watch Dier and Eriksen very closely in this game - it has been absolutely clear that in recent games they are spent and I see no reason why that would change just a few days after their last game.

Will also be interesting to watch Dele closely too - he has been horrific of late. All he does is get the ball and try and take someone on or do a nutmeg, both of which virtually never come of and we lose the ball.

Will today be the day he keeps it simple and does what he's good at ghosting into the box?

We can only hope.

Hopefully the motivation for Dier and Eriksen has been, get through this match and then you get your week off. Light at the end of the tunnel, just give your all here and then you get to recover.

It’s been hard for them, but it’s mental fatigue rather than physical as their stats are still good. But we need to win this game, and we need them to step up and be counted. Lamela is not ready to start.

Against APOEL, we can start Llorente, we can start Foyth, we can start Winks, we can draft in some of the youngsters that are working in the way Poch expects, maybe Sam Shashoua and Sterling.

Get through today and we can be on the way back.
