Got to take the crumbs when they come haha.

Really think Bentancur shone in this. He headed more balls away than our CBs i think and his great positioning was key in getting us the point.
A bit worrying that we often looked worse after some of the subs and the decision-making when we attack needs A LOT of work (even though Savio showed good promise initially).

Hopefully we can get a result vs Everton, but we'll have to be very sharp (as Man Utd showed yesterday).

I think there’s a difference between Sherwood accusing players of not having any heart or guts, and RDZ making a perfectly legitimate and obvious football point. He’s certainly more open than other managers about exactly what he sees, but I don’t think it veers into ‘losing the dressing room’ territory with what he has said so far. And clearly good decision making is important for making his football work, so as a coach he needs to reinforce that message. Just like last season reinforcing positivity was important in us having any chance of staying up.

The fact it's an obvious point only makes it all the more unnecessary, in my view, and I don't see how it's likely to improve anything, never mind reinforce positivity.

Anyway, it's not much of a point for debate - we'll see what Saturday brings.

I don’t think he’s trying to reinforce positivity as an overall theme this season, that was last season. I think now he is trying to reinforce that good decision making is important to making his football work.

Elite coaches are pretty intentional about their words. Because what they say reinforces something and those words carry weight.
 
Lot of Forest fans banging on about the ref giving everything to Spurs (I don’t think he favoured either side) and spurs players diving, cheating and conning the officials. One of them on Talkbrick actually said that the spurs players were so successful at cheating that the Forest players were forced to resort to the same tactic because it was the only way they could get anything 😂😂. Football truly does put the blinkers on people doesn’t it

Even if Williams didn’t touch it with his hand the ball was so low that the simple act of even attempting to head it should have been considered dangerous play and the goal disallowed.
 
Neco Williams had committed about 4 yellow card offences by that point in the game. There is no justification for him even being on the pitch, let alone scoring. Only Pawson and the cheats at PGMOL know why he was on the pitch.
 
I found it very telling that someone (pretty sure it was Williams) went down in our box and stayed down for ages – when his own teammates got the ball, in the middle of the pitch, they still didn't hoof it out so he could get treatment. Instead, they calmly passed it round and, a few phases later, built the attack which Williams scored from...and he certainly didn't look like an injured player as he put his head right in the danger zone, "scored", then wheeled away in celebration.

I mean, players stay down a lot, and always have, but this reeks of a tactical plan to end up with an unmarked man in a dangerous position. Fair play, but I can't say I like it.

And I'll repeat, given the new footage of the non-goal, there is zero credibility in his comments that the ball hit his head and not his arms - this should be a two game ban for misdirecting the ref.

We also don't know what Tels been told in private, it seemed RDZ was frustrated by him, maybe he's trying a different approach to try and get his message over to him.

As what he's tried previously is clearly not working

Rice with his 'clever' 'tactical' foul on Rogers - this is a deliberate breaking of the laws of the game. It should be a straight red, no matter how innocuous. Someone has chosen to deliberately break the rules.

yellow cards for accidental tackles that go wrong and stuff but deliberate rule breaking , that lack of integrity, should be red.

Kicking someone off the ball is violent conduct, no?
