*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v The Cottagers ***

I’ve not seen today’s penalty shout but I really think we’ve been on the end of some poor decisions that VAR has failed to sort out this season. Arguably, two of those decisions (Van Dyke studs down Solankes calf and Van Dykes elbow into Richarlison neck) contributed to todays Spurs game taking place at Craven Cottage rather than Wembley. The failure to award a pen to Danso at Ipswich was bizarre too.

Based on the comments on here it sounds like it’s hard to blame the officials for todays defeat but goals DO change games and pens usually lead to goals…
When I saw it in real time, I thought “absolutely no way”. Looked more a penalty on the replay but not stonewall. Can absolutely understand why the ref didn’t give it and why VAR then didn’t overturn.

I text my pals as soon as Romero came off, we would lose the game and we did
Top top changes from our fraud of a manager
He's only back from a long injury, it's right that him and VdV have their mins limited to make sure they don't get another injury. Having players available for the Europa leagues is far more important. Loads of things you can moan about with Ange, that isn't one of them.

I didn't comment much on the win against AZ so it seems a bit BS for me to crawl out of the Woodwork after this one but...

The 2nd half didn't seem that bad tbh, but there's always an easy give away just around the corner.

Happy to see Sess doing well and fit again. A shame for Odobert's silly concession of possession before their first. Gray seemed OK in midfield, not expecting him to be a game changer immediately. Tel struggling. Spence iffy on their 2nd but Davies made a hash of it too.

Getting through on Thursday was the main thing.

Easy really take off Romero put VDV on
At least play 1 proper decent CB

I'm happy to have their minutes managed.
But if VDV wasn't able to play 20 minutes today, why was he on the bench?

Davies is just back from missing a few games as well, and had to play 90mins.

Thought Tel looked like he is settling. Was better coming off the wings than his previous appearances up front.

Whatever about personnel, the first goal you have 2-3 lads within touching distance and they watch.

The second goal is a long ball over the top and, as bad as Davies does, he holds Sessegnon long enough for cover to arrive and it doesn’t.

In professional football, both those goals are rank bad defending and unforgivable regardless of who is on the pitch.

We're only 2 years into the project lads

We can't judge until he's had 2 years of no injuries and the 47 players he needs that understand the intericacies of his system and Levy stays away from the training ground.
